If you purchased a spa or hot tub from
Lowes or another tub from The Home Depot (Jacuzzi) we can repair it for
you. As far as we know there are no Blue Ridge service facilities in the
nations capital.
If you have problems with your tub
tripping the GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter). The problem can be
the heating element going bad causing electrical leakage or other components
that may be causing leakage. Sometimes the GFCI itself will get water in
it from rain or condensation and the best fix is to replace it with a receptacle
type so you can have power available for work lights or other tools. There
is nothing more annoying than having a 50 amp circuit on tap and no where
to plug in tools, lamps or a pump to drain the system.
We charge about $150.00 to change
an element if you supply it. More if we have to get one. This price
is good within the Baltimore and Washington area.
I recently rewired a unit that had
a problem with the control board wiring failing and the replacement board
supplied by the owner was wired for 240 Volt ac input. I managed to use
two Square D QO disconnects to distribute power to the electric heater
and the accessories (circulating pump motor, blower, light), ground fault
protection was supplied by the circuit breaker in the main panel. I will
post pictures of the system when I get a chance to take some.
If you need to replace a pump motor
or any other controls we can handle that too.
